Those mags tend to be a tad generous.
IMO, Edmunds Insideline is the most accurate. 12.71@112 http://www.insideline.com/bmw/m3/200...-m3-coupe.html BTW, Edmunds has the ML63 doing the 1/4 in 13.3@105 and 0-60 in 4.7

Magazine numbers are altitude corrected to sea level in order to standardize and compare all test numbers at their full potential.
Most of the people who go to the dragstrip do not get timeslips with altitude correction factor, which is why the trap speed is lower and the ET will not reflect what the magazine numbers achieve since they measure using sea level as the standard. Most of those timeslips have very low density altitude meaning they were timed at far above sea level. The equation for WHP loss at higher altitude and density altitude is: http://www.webcalc.net/calc/0757.php 112 - 113 mph is the most plausible trap speed for the M3 coupe and sedan. Quote:

From a roll, yeah. Theres an M5board vid of an M3 barely beating an X5 M from a roll, but I reckon you can take on the Ml63. From a dig, it's really up to your launch but I still think the M3 has a great chance.
