$ for rock chip in glass?

Happened to my car last month.

Called up Geico, they sent Safe-lite, who did the repair for free / no deductible. Said cost eaten by Geico was 60 bucks. No deductible or premium increase for me.

The guy came to my house.

Why is there any debate at all about this? The ONLY way to go here is to call Safelite (not your insurance) and tell them you've got a chip and who your insurer is, they'll do the rest. In almost all cases the repair is free, there is no premium increase, and you get a job well done. I've had about 3 chips and 2 new windshields (multiple cars) repaired by them, perfect every time
