$900 for Ventureshield Clear Bra - Good Deal?
Guys,
My dealer quoted $900 for a custom cut ventureshield clear bra for my e92. It covers the bumper, headlights, mirrors, and 12 inches of the hood and fender. Does this sound like a good deal? I think for $900, they should cover the entire hood and fenders upto the door, but I don't have any experience with this. The product does have lifetime warranty. I would appreciate your thoughts asap as I have an appointment scheduled for early next week. Thanks. Last edited by ajvee; 09-17-2010 at 03:14 PM.. |

Where Are You Located?
Where are you located? The skill of the installer is a huge variable. Be sure to look at a sample of their work before you give the go ahead. If you are in Cali or near North Texas, there are some very clear installer choices. There's also a good North East installer that you can find in the threads.

A few factors:
Venture Shield is VERY expensive. It carries the best warranty available. 60" stock that is needed to do a hood is STUPID expensive. A quality custom install calls for a lot of skill and there's no fast way to do it. Time = $. $900 for a quality install is a great price. You should know most dealerships charge $800 for a kit install. Custom cut takes much more time and skill to do right. If you try to bust some balls on the price you will probably just be busting your own balls down the road. You get what you pay for. |

Jean-Claude already said everything. $900 isn't unusual by any means. The installer is the biggest and most important variable.
Do yourself a favor and have someone properly polish the sections you'll be having clear-bra'd prior to getting the install. Check out Chad as he's the man in your area. http://www.raskysautodetailing.com/ 612. eight-seven-five. sixty-eight, thirty six is his phone number. |

I got my E92 wrapped the first week of my ownership...you'll love the stuff.
I hit some object last night while driving on the freeway, heard a "thud" sound upon impact from the front lower bumper. Pulled into the garage after I got home to check for paint damage....NOTHING! |
