just give her few G's every month and let her buy what ever she wants. So she won't bother you with your money!

at least that's what i do

Lol, this shouldn't be a question. Spend it on her and later on, when a more substantial amount of $$$ is involved, get a supercharger for your M3 and she would be less likely to object.

Definitely a test. First get her something, then get yourself something small for the car or just put the rest away. Little known fact in the M3 community, but money doesn't actually go bad if you put it away (besides inflation).

Listen to this man!

I've been with my wife 6 years and if you marry a good one when you are both financially stable presents will flow your way. I hardly buy anything for myself...but it goes both ways. She has been gone the last week for training and when she gets home she will have a couple surprises.

This sounds like a very "non-traditional" situation here. Fascinating.
Your lady fiancée gave you money to spend on yourself. Hello, Sugarmama!

Make no mistake THIS IS A TEST whether your fiancée is conscious of it or not.
Be that as it may, I'd spend it on yourself and not be be too submissive about this.

Is she going to be the bread-winner of the family?
If yes, then you're going to have to get used to following her lead (in a financial sense.)
That's perfectly legitimate. I'm not judging.

HOWEVER, not taking the gift and enjoying it for yourself may send a message that you
fear her approval... setting a bad example and tone for the relationship's future.
She probably gave you cash because she still doesn't know you well enough to buy
you something you would like.

Mod your car and enjoy your gift. You can "pay" her back by being a happy and loving fiancée/husband.

I like that IDEA.... but we tend to change electronics when things come up. specially iphone and ipad. i tend to buy and sell LOL and get the new one and pay a little. been doing it for years... but i just realized she wants Tiffany necklace... thanks just reminded me on the engraving thingy you mentioned.

yea but its no fun. they will get bored and will get used to it of you giving them money like money runs on fauset. its better when you surprise them or take them shopping girls love it more that way.

Why not spend the money on a nice weekend get away in your nice M3? Then you can both enjoy the car, spend the money on gas, food, hotels, etc.

Or put the money towards your wedding and/or honeymoon?

Don't spend the money just for the sake of spending it though. I mean, if you didn't any mods planned, then don't bother.

Don't spend money for the sake of spending money. If there is something you've really wanted for your car then do it, otherwise, either save it or do something nice for her.

Yeah... go spend your gift on her. Whatever makes her happy will make you happy, right? That sounds so sweet and friendly.

Sounds like wifey's ballin, so she probably already has everything she needs.

I say spend it! Put it in the car, buy some new golf clubs, get some new clothes, go to vegas with your boys and buy them all a prosty. I'm sure she would be OK with that as long as you behave... haha

ill tell you this ti wasnt 20, 50, 100, or 500, lets just say i can pay for 1 1/2 months of my car payments. which is pretty significant for just out of knowhere or out of the blue. It might not be much for someone but i think its a lot for most.
