Boss 302 runs 11.4 quarter mile stock with drag radials??? geez... (see video)

http://www.topspeed.com/cars/ford/20..._mode=recalcul

I personally don't believe it is COMPLETELY stock. I think the cats/restrictor plates have been pulled. But even so, 11.4? Wow, I don't think I've heard of any catless m3's coming anywhere close to 11.4...

Yea I don't believe it either... A z06 isn't much faster with drag radials stock and it has quite a bit more power and a lot less weight than the Boss.

I'm starting to think there is a 100 shot NOS kit in there somewhere.

Actually those weren't drag radials but a full on slick it looked like to me and the way the car stuck. The track that day looks like it was kickin..I do belive these times by the way. Stock 2011 Mustang 5.0s are already in the 11's with just D/R's. Another 30-40hp added into the mix, yea it could be possible but I can see why people would question it. I'm on the Mustang boards, I'll find out the real scoop.

PEOPLE!!

If you watch the video, which is a pretty old video. It makes an 11.72@117, they obviously made a typo

That's a perfectly reasonable trap/E.T given the power and 60ft time the Boss is capable of. Yes it'll dust an M3

i handle alot of the GT's and Shelby's where i work and i was talking with one of the guys at Ford who works strictly on the 302's and he said the numbers they are quoting are pretty underated at the moment. i can't wait till we get one. i actually like the
GT motor better then the older motor that is in the GT500 even though it has more power with the SC. the 5.0 motor reminds me of my M3 motor but with some less revs but more tq. when the Shelby uses the 5.0 that will be a beast but i am really liking the 302. i hope i get to go to the dealer meeting

It hit a 1.59 60 ft. time with the slicks...the car still had the window sticker on it. You know some mileage to loosen up the motor a tad I could see a 11.5 possibly, but you are correct it ran a 11.72 on this run. Another thing, the air must have been great as it looked quite cold and you could just see all the track prep this track had with VHT.

Here are some dyno runs from a few tuners. Two of the three were using 87 octane. My first dyno was ran on 87 octane as well and I put down 368hp/350tq. The Boss is a great car but I cant justify the price difference between the boss and base gt.
