Nice car!
do you wanna share some feedback regarding the clutch to the community?
Have you been driving it with the stock one before?
How does the new clutch feel? Hard pedal or harder than stock? How does the clutch close? Smooth or is it more like a ON/OFF like a race car clutch?

Thx a lot!

Stock clutch all the way up until now. This one is considerably heavier than stock, but not so much so that it's uncomfortable. Just takes some getting used to. The friction point is a lot tighter than stock, and you get a lot of clutch shudder the first little while driving it until you get used to it. Not a complete ON/OFF feel, but you definitely feel like you're driving a race car. In every day driving it makes for rougher shifts (again, just something to get used to), but driving more aggressive, it make for beautiful, quick shifts. More info to come as I drive it more

I always wondered why the boosted community is not running larger diameter tires. Until now. I realize these must be a lot heavier and unsprung weight is our enemy but traction always been a problem with a boostedm (see what I did with ur username)

Hahaha, yeah that's very true. When I was on the 20s, the tires had such little meat I couldn't hook to go anywhere. 18 or a 19 this time for sure. I need grippp

Talking Awesome re-build

I plan to do the same thing just like you just to be on the safe side since I have a 2008 build M3. Replace the rod bearing with VAC coated Bearings like you and replace my fly wheel with SPEC Clutch SB93PT, SPEC Super Twin Clutch Kit P-Trim My M3 currently has 88,000 + miles now I think I will have to take a trip to Florida from Texas and have Active Autowerk do this up grade for me. I don't trust just any shop to put hands on my M3 and it looks like Active Autowerk know what they are doing and I want my car done right the first time . Oh I do plan on having a Supercharger installed on my M3 very soon .

AA didn't do the install. It was a shop a little closer to Texas, they're called Performance Race Solutions (PRS) up in Sanford, FL.

BTW, I hear you're going to MFEST with that VF blower. I'm getting one too for MFEST! But it's being installed on my E36. PRS is also doing the install on that.

See you in Vegas!

Correct! PRS did the Level 3 upgrade, rod bearings, and clutch install. And did a mighty fine job, at that

Test fitted CCW's brand new two piece 19in today. Wheel is a 19x11 two piece CCW SP16a, the first multi-piece 19in ever made by CCW. Tire is a Michelin PS2 295/30/19. To be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of the look for what I'm trying to do, so I'm going with an 18in for a more aggressive track feel.

Also, a wonderful box arrived today

Centers are cut and off to paint. Roll cage is off to paint, too. Crunch time!
