I think a 295 in R-compound is cutting it close.
My e46 rubbed 285/30-18 PSCs on both the inner and outer sides of the rear wheel wells. When you get the suspension and tires working well together, the forces during cornering will cause the suspension bushings to yield substantially. In the case of the e46, the inner bushings on the upper control arm allowed the tire to "decamber" (camber went less negative) during hard cornering, causing rubbing on the fender lip. Full compression caused rubbing on the id of the fender. I would not expect the e9x suspension bushings to be any less compliant. |

it also would depends on the side profile to make it work
but on the side note I'll take understeer vs oversteer anytime
