e92 rough idle as engine settles

When the car is initially started and just before the engine settles, I notice that the idle gets noticeably rougher and lumpy (it looks like it is jumping from 500 rpm to a little above it; around 800 to 900 rpm multiple times). I notice this mostly during cold starts in the morning and very very slightly during the day. I have been told this is normal, but I wanted to confirm. Otherwise, my car is throwing no check engine lights and it drives just fine.

Thanks everyone

I get this too sometimes. No codes either. When it does this motor feels like struggling so I just blip the throttle lightly a few times, give it some gas and it goes away. I have to do this on my 84 toy van. Seems to work.

I also get a pop sound in the exhaust from 1-2 shift when engine cold.

Made a quick call to an SA and they mentioned that there is nothing to worry about as long as no significant codes are being thrown. I've tested it a few more times and its not consistent (as mentioned, it appears to be isolated to cold conditions). Given that the car drives fine, I don't have any issues cranking the motor, and I haven't experienced any loss of power, I am going to just enjoy the car. Of course, if anything new occurs, I'll take it to the dealership and update everyone as a result.

Thanks for the replies everyone

Yup, get cold start deleted via a tune and it will go away. Same happened to me and it's fixed.

Getting same thing here, noticing it more since I installed a much louder exhaust than stock. Otherwise the car runs fine.
