Performance shop/installer in Atlanta area?
Looking for the best performance shop in the Atlanta area. Im looking to install Motons soon, so I need a good shop for install, alignment and corner balance.
I would prefer a shop with experience in prepping race cars. Thanks.

Kinetic Motorsports in Buford Ga should be able to help you with any racing setup that you need. Their shop is about 30 minutes NE of Atlanta.

I was looking for a place to install my Akra exhaust first. Kinetic is going to do my Motons, but they are still busy with their racing program, so they can't really get to it till November. I want a good shop to install the Akra pieces since its a pricey item. I found Performing Imports, but was looking for some feedback.

Heard good things about Harrison Motorsports in Alpharetta, maybe go check out both shops in person and talk to the techs. One of my Chinese friends in Beijing just installed his Akra and loving it but if you ever around town, I would definitely be up for some lunch and check out the exhaust in person.

Lets do this soon- Ill sponsor the event for everyone It can be the "mostest randomest m3 meet in Atlanta" meet....
I say we get together somewhere, talk cars for a while and grab dinner. I vote for The Tilted Kilt resturaunt. We will go there, talk cars and then get some of the girls to take pictures by our cars- that sounds like great time to me. If you are married, tell the better half you are going to Waffle house for a car meet and it will be really cold outside

I have been to Performing Imports a few times. They did a great job installing my Akra exhaust. They do good work but I find them pricey.
I have a AP Racing BBK coming and they want $700 for the install, which is really steep IMO. Anymore feedback on Harrison Motorsport?

If it's a regular BBK similar to stopech and brembo, I take it to my regular maintenance shop that does everything from oil changes, BBK, suspension and all sorts of installation. Price wise, I would say it would be significantly lower than your quoted price for the full set, give them a call and talk to James, the owner. Then request Jon, the mechanic for work and if you plan to go, let me know. They do quite a bit of maintenance work on BMWs and Mercedes, always have Mobil 1 European 0w-40 in stock for the normal European cars.

I guess $700 must be the going rate, because I contacted two other shops and they quoted me the same rate, but Harrison at least includes a full brake flush with their price, with your choice of brake fluid.

Anyone used Gran Turismo East before?
I want to get an alignment at a shop that really knows what they are doing with the right equipment. I prefer a shop that aligns race cars, they usually are the best places. A friend of mine also needs some GC coils installed on his 1 series, anyone had this sort of work done Gran Turismo East? Thanks.

I used GT east when I had my RACs mounted. I asked them to align my car with the specs recommended by Shep, which they did somewhat reluctantly. Since then, my car pulls a bit to the right, and I have experienced some vibration. As soon as I get some time, I am taking the car into Butler or possibly Kinetics for realignment and balancing. The problems I'm having might be my fault, but at this time I can't recommend GT. I took my e46 exclusively to Butler for alignment and was always very satisfied. Kinetics is great especially if you are looking for a shop that specializes in racing. Very professional and a beautiful facility.
