2013 E93 Keyhole Delete

So I bought used from a member on here. I installed it and it looked fine but the car locking system kept cycling. Any ideas why? Do I need to have it coded out?

I heard one can swap these covers (remove the OEM cover with hole and replace with one that has no hole) but only some aftermarket manufacturers of these covers will fit. Of course I get the one that doesn't.

And by the way, yes, I am aware if the battery goes dead I will have a major problem getting into the car if locked.

Thanks for your time.

I recently installed one from IND on my '13 E93. I put the locking mechanism back in underneath rather than the plastic "blank" that was shipped with it (not sure if that would have any impact). It was a tight fit, and required some coaxing but no issues...

No coding should be required for this.

Confirmed. Done this on 3 different BMWs (pre LCI E90, LCI E90, and pre LCI E93 M3) and I had no issues with this. No coding involved...should be a maybe 10 minute install and done. Not sure what's causing the cycle you're experiencing.

OK. Well, I am not sure of the manufacturer of the cover but it does not allow for re-installing the lock cylinder (I tried and the ears that holds the cover on to the cylinder does not fit onto their catch-point). So I am trying this without installing the lock cylinder. Door locks kept acting like they are trying to unlock even though they were already unlocked. Soooo...I just went back to stock. No big deal but perplexing just the same...
Thanks
