Dinan is a joke and I use to be a fan.

Their "warranty" is what people refer to to justify the high price but it is a load of crap.

I bought one of their exhausts a couple years ago. The fit/finish was horrible. One set of tips was longer than the other. I proved it to Dinan with pics and measurements. They agreed and then said it was within their manufacturing tolerances. It didn't fit either. I had to go to a custom exhaust shop to have the hangers bent, etc. to get everything to line up.

So much for their vaunted warranty. Buyers of any Dinan products beware ...

While I agree that their prices are somewhat elevated (especially this coilover kit), I still think they have some quality stuff on the market. This is my second Dinan M3 and I am one pleased customer. Sure you pay a little more but you payed a little more to drive a M car as well. Some will say that's crazy. Reference the new M5/6 recall and production halt.....as the saying goes "Shit happens". Now I'm not here to come to Dinan's rescue but my experience with them has been great. 2 Dinan cars and counting.................Phil

12 Hours? I just installed KW Sleeve kit in my garage with no knowledge of BMW suspensions and did it in five hours. I didn't have a lift or air tools.

Ashley, these are my thoughts. It's pretty tough to improve on the cars coming out these days unless you do very directed development at suspension (ie. AST, KW) or tuning (ie benvo, ESS). Dinan tries to be the one stop shop for bmws, minis, etc. and is not focused enough to compete with the specialized manufacturers these days.

Before, there were more gains on the table to be had with basic tricks. Now, cars come much better tuned and the market is just that much more competitive.

Seems way overpriced. For about a grand more can get a full JRZ RS1setup. That being said, have a few dinan products on the car and they are great in that I've never thought or worried about them in the 2+ year beating I've put on the car

In the past, Dinan's formula has been custom koni dampers and springs. Not sure why they have strayed away from this and offered this half-assed solution. I really expected dinan to provide some sort of custom valved EDC damper. If there is any company that can do it...I would think it would be dinan.

Either way dinan is still a leader in BMW tuning. Geez, a dinan built engine that was developed over 13 years ago just won the DP championship in the Rolex series!

I don't know why people put Dinan on such a high level. Their products are way overpriced and not really anything special. Their operations is no different than any other speed/machine shop that makes their own products in house. I have been to their offices a few times and it always surprises me why people are willing to pay so much for their stuff.

Maybe back when there were very few tuners in the BMW market, they were great as a one-stop shop. But these days, they are definitely behind the curve and just banking on their brand recognition.

Just picked up my car a short while ago and I have to say the car feels great, very compliant and the improved turn in is definitely noticeable. Ride quality is very OEM like. I kept the ride height close to ZCP as I wasn't looking to slam the car and want to make sure it will perform on track. Looking forward to getting it out to the track for the real test and will give an update when I do some more spirited driving. So far so good.

A little too early to tell. The Moton's obviously had much more adjustability (maybe even too much as you are always looking to dial it right in at the track )
As far as on the street goes. I ran my Motons a little firmer than this suspension feels as for the Motons that is where I felt the best day to day ride was. They could get to much of a spongy feeling if you set them too soft. The Dinan kit seems firmer than stock, but not even close to being harsh. Definitely an improvement over stock right out of the box.

There is some adjustability in camber and ride height if I choose, but so far so good.

The more important question to me is how does this suspension feel compared to the Stage III Dinan setup that I have in my E90? The Stage III is much firmer than stock, with significantly reduced body roll and brake dive. The camber plates have made turn in much sharper than stock as well. How much more could I get from the new product to justify removing my current suspension and paying so much more for the "coilovers?"

I havent driven a Stage III Dinan set up to give a comparison. I dont know what the difference in spring rates is or what your ride height is compared to what it might be with the added adjustability. IMO, unless you track the car and are concerned with being able to corner balance the car or want to be able to adjust the ride height it would not be worth it for you to go with this kit.

A lot of people seem just concerned with the appearance of how their car sits, so this kit or a true coilover set up is overkill.

I found the ZCP package on my current car vs. my old non zcp stock e90 to a noticeable upgrade on and off the track.

Thanks. Since the Dinan Stage III is really quite a competent suspension, especially as it is compatible with EDC (which I have but don't use), I will have to wait. I am hoping in the next few months there will be feedback on the new suspension vs. the Stage III.

I have had a few weeks to drive the car and finally a chance to drive in on track. So far I am happy with the result. Car feels firmer than stock on the street and certainly seems to shine on the track. Turn in is crisp and car feels planted. (even on some gravel and wet pavement on the drive up to the track, even with DSC off).

While still being a little pricey, a good alternative for those looking to retain EDC and not wanting to step up to true coilovers.

I am currently set up using Dinan's Mid setting (Street with occasional track use). Camber is not too agressive. I plan to go more agressive next year but want to compare both setting to see if the difference is noticeable.

WTF? There is now a second new Dinan coil over setup, this one with Konis? This was not on the website a few weeks ago, when the original "coilovers" were introduced for the M3. Is this new product not for the E90?
