What is an alternative to M3 coupe?

The closest cars IMO in the M3 segment would be the Audi RS5 and the MB C63 AMG in terms of performance, practicality and price. Hence why pretty much every car journalist compares them without getting tired. Naturally this makes sense since they're designed to compete directly against the M benchmark. I know that my next car will still have a V8 and for that reason the c class from AMG will be interesting to watch. Especially their black series. I have a hunch MB will keep their V8s. The next audi RS5 will most certainly have a FI 6 cylinder like the M4. MB on the other hand might be crazy enough to stick with a V8 and hence why they get my vote.
