Look's/ power isn't everything, it need's much more to a good car, then just a huge motor and a wider bulky looking rear. I din't care if they repaint it, glue some M F82-esque fender sidescoop's on it calling it GT 350/ 350/550/roush/poush/moush whatever.

The comparison is there because the M3 use to be the bench mark, and the price point was similar.

This car is not meant to be a daily driver as much as the M3, its much more focused to be a track car, especially the GT350R. It will destroy a E92 M3 around a track, and as it should the E92 M3 is not a new car and this is.

The GT350 and GT350R are special cars, they are focused to do what they are designed to do. Get over the Ford badging....these cars are going to be amazing.

I see vsix has brought his Mustang inferiority complex from the "2015 Mustang GT vs. E92 M3" thread into this one.

As far as heights are concerned:

M3:

2008–2010 Coupe: 54.2 in (1,377 mm)
2008–2011 saloon: 57.0 in (1,448 mm)
2011– Coupe & 2008–2010 Convertible: 55.6 in (1,412 mm)
2011– Convertible: 54.8 in (1,392 mm)
F80 M3: 56.3 in (1,430 mm)
F82 M4: 54.4-54.6 in

Mustang:

2015 Mustang GT: 54.4 in
2013 Boss 302: 55.6 in
2010-2014 Coupe: 55.6 in (1,410 mm)
2010-2014 Convertible: 56.1 in (1,420 mm)

The S197 Mustang Coupe was the same height as the 2011 E92 M3 Coupe, while the 2008-2010 Coupes sat 1.4" lower. The 2015 GT has a 1.4" lower roof line and overall height to put it only 0.2" taller than the lowest E92 M3.

I wasn't targeting you with my post. Just posting it up as a FYI since this is the GT350 thread.

this car will blow away the e92 in almost every category except "luxury", but it does so many things better it will convert M owners. as of now i would love to own one and plan on it.

Agree completely. And for about about $15-20k, you could get a complete custom interior that wraps everything in leather, alcantara, aluminum and CF. Thinking about doing this along with an "Eleanor" conversion as a possible option for the next car.

yea im in the same boat, if this car is all its supposed to be im deff down for one, and if rumors are right with the price, it will be a bargain. also would be nice to mod a car without spending thousands and thousands of dollars lol damn bmw tax

this doesnt mean i dont love my m3 or anything i do love it, i just feel this car the gt350 is more of a evolution from the e92 m3 then the new m4 is.....in my opinion of course

I like it.

Wow, that looks great. Looks like that is a dealer car but I thought they weren't coming until late this year?

Its still a pre-production car, they won't be out until sometime this late summer early fall from my understanding.

agree with this as well, my M3 lease ends October 2016, may switch to a GT500, read an article that the 2017 Shelby GT500 will have over 700 hp??? I will grab one of those if this car ends up coming out

"Eleanor" was a modified 1967 Mustang that was made famous in the movie "Gone in 60 Seconds". It became so popular, that full blown reproductions were being built by specialty car shops all over the U.S.

Modern conversions were also made with more modern Mustangs and the 6th gen builds are starting to take shape.

I would love to do an Eleanor GT350 (the original was based on the GT500) with a full leather/carbon/alcantara/aluminum interior upgrade. Eleanor also had Nitrous, with the activation button on top of the shift knob and the famous "Go Baby Go" logo around it.

Here is a pic of the original 1967 car with along with a gen 6 Mustang rendering:

Original 1967 interior:

Looks like the offspring of a sexual encounter between the 5th gen Mustang and an Aston Martin Vantage. This is good.
