Don't bother. Just start with the best and order from IND - they'll ship to Canada. Request USPS shipping to minimize duty/brokerage charges on the way in.

thanks much for the responses. I decided to order from ind due to all the good feedback I have seen on this site and the fact that I ordered painted side markers as well.
I'll call them and request a ups shipment, thanks chowster. |

While the selection is better in the states, there are still some great vendors (both on here and otherwise) that are pretty competitive in Canada. I would say for things you install yourself (grills, gills etc) than the US is fine. For things where you would need support (forced induction, suspension, complex interior upgrades, even exhaust) I would stick with a vendor close by.

USPS not UPS. You'll regret using the latter when paying another $30 for brokerage and duty.

if you want to save a few bucks (~$10 for COD fee), get the tracking number and call UPS and pay for the import charges once the item has cleared customs, but before you get the package. They will also leave it at your door, as opposed to leaving you a note for a subsequent re-delivery.

Sorry for not bolding and highlighting the USPS in my original post. Vendors prefer to ship with UPS to Canada for better tracking and reliability, so that's usually their default.
