My BBK is making squeaking noise at low speed [StopTech BBK]

I have my StopTech BBK installed for about 1 month now and of course all the break-in have been done according to the instruction given to me.

However I recently noticed a weird squeaking noise coming from the rear brakes when taking off or turning at really low speed. Of course, even with the brake pedal all the way out. The noise is especially clear when Im driving in a parking structure. My friends can hear it too so I know Im not crazy.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing the brakes to squeak? I understand with performance brake pads, it is completely normal to squeak when you are on the brake pedal but this is happening when Im off the brake pedal. The squeaking goes away as soon as I gain some velocity, maybe pass 15 mph.

The only theory I can come up with is the BMW Hill Assist feature (which I was told to be mainly if not entirely rely on the rear brakes) built in to these brakes and when Im off the brake pedal and ready to take off, the brakes still have some resistance and cause that noise?

I took it to a BMW Tech who installed the brakes and he said the same thing. He also told me that because the front brakes are a lot bigger than the rear brakes and the break in may not be properly reach for the rears. And that I should do some hard braking so that the rears get to be broken in as well.

Any thoughts?

If it is a metallic squeaking sound, something is rubbing.

And if you are using the StopTech Street Sport pads, it should be pretty quiet.

Could be brake groan where the pads are not releasing completely. I had this on my AP Racing brakes and they came up with a fix. Essentially it is a spring that helps to spread the pads. Mine was particularly bad in slow turns. Very annoying.

I get it every now and then when I come to very slow stop. Mine is not very loud and only in a straight line.

This is probably it! So is it a part (spring) that is supposed to be replaced/covered by the brake company or BMW?

Stoptech.
Do you track your car or drive it hard? Sometimes the springs can get warped or overheat with track use.

AP racing sent me the kit to fix the problem and my shop put them on. Not sure about StopTech. Sure is nice to have Chris from AP racing on this forum as he stepped in and solved this problem for me.

No track time with this new BBK yet. I however did drive it hard a few times on the freeway.

I will contact StopTech and ask to see if they have a fix solution for this issue.
