Meet at IHOP in Sully Place Shopping Center off Rt 50 around 9am, have some breakfast, then hang around our cars outside until we think we have just about everyone and head out at 10-10:30am.

It'll begin with the boring cruise down 50 at 60mph, note that there are NEW roundabouts that google maps does not have yet. Just follow the signs for 50 west when you hit them.
Then we get on Snickersville pike, a really great back road. Don't focus too much on the car in front of you, look around, enjoy it. Try not to upset the locals.

That ends at rt 7, we take a left onto 7 and then immediate left again onto Blueridge Mt Rd. This is just one of those perfect mountain roads. Hopefully with no traffic.
Then it's right on 50 and left on Red Gate, a good road with nice views and hills.

Red Gate turns into Morgan Ford Rd. We will pull over in the lot just AFTER low water bridge to regroup and maybe do a group shot. This is where you photographers can get some unique photos.

Then it's on to Front Royal and lunch at, where the current consensus is, Melting Pot Pizza. Parking here SUCKS, it's ok to park at the bank or 711 next door. There's also some parking in the back. Be prepared for a smoky atmosphere but eating some awesome pizza. If you're not down for this, speak up and we can change it to the Apple House which is more homey.

After lunch its on to the main Skyline Drive entrance. It costs money to get on skyline, maybe $10, I don't remember. There's a lot of overlooks to stop at on skyline, I'm guessing we'll probably all be split up here.

Then exit Skyline at Rt 211 (This section of road is AMAZING and really best going up rather than down so if you really want to give your car a good work out, turn around and drive back up once you get to the bottom. That's what I'm going to do!)

Then it's just 211, a 2 lane no traffic 55mph highway, back to I66. Along this route we can all split up and take whatever route takes you back home.

Know the route, print it out, chances are the group is going to get split up at lights and traffic so you need to know where to go. Radar detectors are illegal in VA and cops will ticket you if you have one (even if you're not speeding).

Also I'll bring some of those sticky papar name tags in case anyone wants to wear one. I'm terrible with names so I found them useful when meting a large number of new people.

I know it's raining now but forecast for tomorrow is mostly cloudy with a high of 76 deg...perfect temp for the M.

i've been living w/ one for the past 10+ years or so. yes they are illegal but so is speeding.

just don't be obvious and put it smack in the middle of the windshield

thanks for the headsup all this morning baarii.. 9-9:15 am Macy Galleria to ride to IHOP would be fine. Im looking for just to stretch my //M to end the season.
