If it was purchased through them or was bought through BMW Canada (any other retailer for that matter), things may have been smoother, just a thought :confused
Gee!I also now know why you got such a difficult time with your service problem if you brought the car in from the US.If you would take some time to look at it from the retailers eyes, you might understand why it happened.Yes we pay more in Canada for our cars, but I am quite sure that you would have had a very difference experiance if you had been dealing with your local selling dealer!

My Canadian contented Sedan has the Homelink, but not the seat nets. I had the seat nets in my '08 535xi and never used them.

On a car on this price and offering so much driving pleasure, I can't fathom why anyone would make a noise about no seat nets....??? Must be just me...

Whatever. I use the car for nature photography and they come in handy. I can't imagine BMW charging so much for this car and leaving them off.

Well, that explains it then. You use yours for nature photography, and I use mine for driving enjoyment.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Although I think seat nets look cheesy, the M3 has such a lack of cabin storage I almost wish I had them.

Prices in Canada will always be higher than in the USA. It's a simple math issue. They have a basin of population ten times larger than here in Canada. Selling ten times more items of a product allows you to reduce its unit price without reducing your total profit at year end.

Also, pricing their car cheap make it easier for americans to buy one through financing, where BMW makes a killing. Traditionally, europeans buy their cars cash or at least finance a smaller amount of the price.

In North America, and in the U.S. in particular it's free for all. Most people will buy something with the lowest down payment and finance the rest, at ultimately an atrocious cost. That, my friends, explain in most part the reason the world economy is such in a big mess.

Cheers.

A Case Logic seat back organizer from Canadian Tire ($17) did the trick - I even have a place to put the driver's manual now. And it's extra-cheesy, but removable.

That's a pretty good compromise. Crappy Tire ahoy!!
