Carbon fiber roof?

Is the carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) same as carbon fiber?

From what I read, the E92M3 roof is CFRP, so it is not really carbon fiber?

The carbon fiber that is reinforcing the plastic is what makes it carbon fiber.

its the same CF roof on the M6 and it has yet to yellow with age. the roofs are very high quality! and its a 50-60k car not 70k check your sources.

we make PIR sensors, they used to turn yellowie after a couple of years, from what i remember the manufacturesr mixed in a UV inhibitor which stopped it, also double glazing windows used to turn yellow, PVA windows but now all are made with uPVA utilising the inhibitor, i am sure BMW will be using something similar in the paint or the material

Yeah I would hope so.
This is definitely a kick ass feature of the car if done right.
