Opinion about possible purchase!

Hey guys I've been a long time lurker and patiently been waiting for my time to join this m3 family! I've been searching for some time. Trying to find an m3 with limited options has been very difficult, but I may have come across a clean one. My question to you guys is: judging by the pictures is this normal wear? Or is this something I should pass on?

Thanks!

Looks like pretty standard road grime and tarnish, but do you have filters on those photos or something?

I didn't take the photos. When I saw all the residue especially in the engine bay I was worried and wanted if it was normal. I'll have them send me a basic iPhone picture of the engine bay. Thanks for the reply!

Hey I'm adding to this thread because I'm interested in another buy, but a door alignment has raised some concern. Is this a normal bmw flaw or should I forget about this car? There is a gap between the passenger and driver door and the fenders.

Eh I'd pass on the first car. That's a lot of corrosion throughout the engine bay and underneath. That's showing this car was driven during the winter mo this and not properly cleaned and taken care of. I've seen numerous Ms driven in inclement weather and they've all looked clean with proper care. This looks terrible in my opinion

Good move. When you find the one, you'll just feel it.

the right car will speak to you. when i went to go look at my m3 from the previous owner, i didn't know i was going to buy it. it had the major must-have packages i wanted and the right exterior color. not quite the interior (grey) i was hoping for, but i was flexible on that. i got out of my car and the car was sitting in a parking lot by its self, all detailed and clean. the way it was poised as i walked up to it just told me it had been waiting for me and i was finally here.
