E46 is a much more raw car. what got me was the V8 noise lol. looking at it now after owning it for 4 months, its a fantastic car, deceivingly quick! i took it to our local track for a session and loved it! look forward to hearing your experience, which i am sure will not be a negative one lol |

If not the cheapest route is to install the BMW wireless apps and that will enable you to stream BT audio and to me this is better sound quality wise compared with the CIC enabled BT streaming. Good luck

You also should have a USB under the armrest and another US port inside the glove box on the right hand side. If these are on place you almost have the full compliment of options, if so it's a matter of enabling the music streaming if I am not mistaken. Send the last 7 digits of your VIN# to BimmerTech and he should confirm what can be done. By the way the wheels are satin black.

Jerez is no worse than carbon black to maintain i.e. a PITA. But I love the colour especially with the extended fox red leather interior. The car turns heads and gets lots of random compliments. The outside needs a good detail and paint correction which I will be getting done soon. |

The E46 M3 was raw all the time. With the SMG transmission and the way the car steered and counter-steered, it took a lot of finesse to drive it well and it would bite you if you drove outside of your limits. The E46 M3 just didn't have enough power. Tuned VW Golf R's will blitz an E46 M3 in a straight line. At track days, there was not much that wouldn't storm past me on the straights - the cars of today are significantly more powerful. As i mentioned before, i had driven a lot of E92 M3s and it sealed the deal when i did an M-Dynamic day at Eastern Creek - pantsing it all day on a track, and what i was able to do with the car in the oversteer and slalom exercises - this was the car for me. I don't miss the rawness of the E46 M3, because in its place i feel as though i have more finesse, technology and integration - and i value that more. SO - I picked up the E90 M3 on Tuesday last week. I have basically been driving it as much as i can, and the weather has been abysmal so i haven't had the chance to take a picture of it looking half decent. Before i picked it up, i had some Eibach springs put in because it was way too high. When i saw it for the first time, i was so glad i did that. Driving it - its quite civilized in terms of how it delivers power, however the noise of the exhaust is significant. People look at it, more in amazement - "is that noise coming from that sedan??", with their head tilted to the side. I gave it one serve getting onto a freeway - it stepped out when shifting from 2nd to 3rd - its been a while since i've had a car that can do that, and i was not expecting it, so now i am scared of it. I have a new set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports on it, and they hook up extremely well. I had them on the E46 M3 and knew they were good, but the E90 is pumping out close to 500hp so it was really impressive that these tyres grip so well that i have zero wheel spin under relatively hard acceleration. It does not downshift very aggressively. I was talking to my mechanic about it and they mentioned that Dinan have a DCT tune out that is around $500. That could be the go... either that, or i'll just see what BMW software is it in and have the current BMW DCT software installed. Does anyone have any comment on this? I know there are other DCT tunes out there, but they are in excess of $1K and realistically i am just looking for a more consistent and aggressive downshift. I laughed all the way down my driveway when i reversed it down on its first cold start - it is offensively loud. I will be interested to know how i go with fuel consumption - i think its currently using between 15L and 16L per 100 km. It has some nice options on it - I am still getting used to a car with comfort access. For some reason, it doesn't really take a liking it syncing contacts from my iPhone 5. I need to read the manual to work out how to rewind/fast forward tracks i am playing from my iPod via iDrive. I had some time today to do a leather clean/feed, wash, and apply a layer of Full Metal Jacket. When my bank balance recovers from the smack it just took, i will do a front lip, maybe a diffuser, white halos, gloss black grills. I also need to get the wheels repainted as they have some shocking gutter rash on them. Here are some obligatory (sh1thouse) iPhone pictures. |

Do any of you guys have problems syncing contacts between your car and phone?
I have an iPhone 5 and if the car tries to sync contacts with the phone, every so often it the car will act like its disconnecting a call, and it syncs nothing! I have to turn off "sync contacts" option on my phone otherwise i keep getting the call disconnection screen. |

Wow that is nice, and to get it done with the S/C already nice work.
Nice black R36 is the back ground to, my wife has one as her daily, hard car to find something to replace it with.

I put an Arqray exhaust on the R36 and it sounds pimp. I'll literally run it into the ground and then by that stage i hope we can downsize her car and i'll get her into an E9X M3. After driving the E90, she still prefers manual over DCT. |
