MSRC CCW, bone stock on older Michelin PS2 (not PSS): 1:27.30
Can't imagine that's a decent time as horrendous as the tires felt and as much push as the car had in it. Had a couple of low 28's with traffic as well, only ran a few laps and didn't push anywhere near 10/10ths .

Seems as if this list isn't being updated anymore. If it does continue, I think it would be useful to list the tire that you used for the lap.

Or check out www.trackjunkies.org. There's a lot more TX specific track stuff there to include a more detailed list of lap times and car setup.

Nola Motorsports in New Orleans -2.75 mile CW
2:09.09 in BMW 1M with instructor in car -RE-11 in stock sizes -stock pads / rotors SLOW, but not horrible for 4th day on track, and first time at NOLA. Really nice facility, but crazy event. Lots of spin outs and drama on the track, and the most ridiculous wreck ive ever seen... |

This weekend was my 4th and 5th total days on track, so i am pretty green myself. There was just a lot going on at NOLA. There were a lot of cars on track, and many spinouts and 4 wheels off, and then of course the girl in the corvette who ruined our first session before it even got started. She was driving her dads 690whp corvette and when coming out of the pit entrance onto the track, before she even got straight enough to merge onto the track from the pits, she apparently floored the car and went sideways and spun across the track into the guard rail, about 60 feet to the right of where she started. The entire run was on double yellow caution, and of course her day was done. It was good, just kind of a dicey event. It just made me a little nervous to track my car in these HPDE's, since its an expensive car (for me). I will finish the year with the car and see how i progress and what my level of interest in the sport is (IE whether i stick with HPDE or want to try time trial which i would buy a dedicated car like a 370z for). I plan to continue to run with NASA and also have events scheduled with Drivers Edge and PDS, both of whom i have never run with before. ON a positive note, the car performed flawlessly. The IATs were well below 100 degrees on track in about 68 degree ambient temps. I could use some more tire for more traction since my car makes some good power, but i need to continue to improve my driving more than i need more mods haha. |

You'll like PDS and TDE. Both are very good organizations. TDE has better instruction, but tends to have more cars than PDS.

There should be a big update to COTA after this weekend. Best time on a crowded track on day 1 for me was 3.04.36 stock with Dunlop ZII. Yes, I have an excuse for everything.
In the E92.

2:47 and change.

I improved on Sunday in the afternoon, once the rain went away. Still had lots of traffic, best time was a 2.58.42. Great weekend. Car is home and cleaned up, and didn't break anything

I was running into high water temps all day. Then my gearbox got all wonky at times...couldn't find 3rd gear...sometimes 2nd. Odd.
I think the grip of the track is easy on tires, hard on drivetrains.

Did a couple of 2.45's in the last session Saturday. Even though I was significantly faster in a few of the turns on Sunday I never got below 2.46 because of traffic.
Like Jae, I had some issues getting into 3rd a few times but I think it was more user error on my part. Also went into limp mode going through T11 just after passing a couple of cars and nothing but clear track in front of me. That only happened once but a fellow 1M driver who was running wider and stickier rubber had the same problem multiple times on the hairpins. If we keep coming back here we'll need an oil pan baffle. |

I never got into a good rhythm all weekend. Especially the esses. Taking away the gators really messed me up...now there are infinite lines to try. Having traffic in front of me 75% of the time didn't really allow for testing different lines.
Still, always fun to see what a track can really be. Honestly, MSR is still my favorite...the 3.1 and then 1.7CW. Third is TWS CCW and fourth is COTA.
