Question How long did it take your E9X M3 to be loaded onto a ship after it was produced?

This is meant to be for NA customers who ordered an E9X M3 and tracked it through the production/shipping steps to have an answer. If you have not been through the process, or do not know, don't respond. The survey is not anonymous.

To make things easier, you should report the time in between completion of production and loading onto a ship.

I think mine took about five days to get on a boat.

It would be clearer to ask the time between completion of production and ship departure. The amount of time it takes to get from the factory to the port is not always easily found. E.g., my car took 7 days to get to the dock, and 3 more days to ship out. I didn't find this out until I did the ship inquiry that had those intermediate dates in there.

Good idea. I updated the OP, but can't change the survey question.

From the data below, this is my understanding:

The car showed awaiting transport around 2/12/08. I believe it was received at the terminal on 2/19/08, so maybe it took 7 days to ship it to the terminal. It was loaded onto the Manon on 2/21/08. So total time frame was about 10 days.

About 24 days (+/-) time on the ship. Figure 10 days prior to shipping and 7 days or so after landing for VPC and transit to the dealer. So, from end of production 6 weeks is about right.

Well, that is much better. My initial thought was "transit" onliy included shipboard time. Mid-April is looking as if may be a reality!!!!

I think in the end a lot of it has to do with shipping schedules... I should have been on a ship to Charleston this week but no ships were going there. So im going to be leaving early next week.

WW typically has one ship a week to each of the ports.
