Private Track Rental // MIR // New fastest BMW in the world on drag radials

Had a great day down at MIR yesterday.

started w a caravan starting in Columbia at 7:30am.

Fueling

Our Caravan at the MIR gates

ESS s/c M5, me, s54 Mcoupe, e92 M3 w the loudest exhaust ever, HPF 2.5 M3, 335 w tune, M3.......not bad!!

girlfriend keeping warm

Mustafa's nasty sounding DCT M3

supercharged Viper, was pretty disappointing actually

New 5.0 Mustang

Ahmads beast

Boris's beast, 80mm turbo e85 powered s52 e30......yeah

Sprayed g8

sl600 tuned.....

this c63 sounded like the hand of god was powering it...insane.

Sprayed Firebird

love the hood prop

Brand new build on this Supra....1000whp+ I was told

and this is as far as it made it........sucks

broken stuff

Launch!!! not bad for wrong wheel drive

seriously fast GTR

Viper only trapped 131mph from what I saw.....hell I know Jamie Furman's bone stock Viper hit 130mph. So w the supercharger I was expecting a lot more

Clem's beautiful ESS s/c e39 m5 w his new Brembo's tucked in nicely behind the Fikse's.....hardware porn overload

I think Boris's car is a little faster......

Boris ended up w an amazing run after I left...actually 2. He hit a 9.8 then a 9.58 at 143mph!!!! His 60 ft on that run was actually not even close to his best 1.37 60ft and it was laying down up top on power. He's got a lot more in it.

Ahmad launching like an animal

Which broke his axle....again

The ringer was brought in after the burnout

she beat her husband

Boris out testing the track to see when the track was ready for his power to stick.....apparently that didnt happen until after I left.

Audi R8 V10

and then this beauty showed up and was being warmed up and street tuned outside the facility, I couldnt hang around any longer and had to leave before he ran....I was bummed.

Apparently he ended up running a 10.2 at 137mph

AND THE BIG NEWS

after I left (had to work....stupid work always ruining my fun) Boris in the white e30 ripped off a 9.80 pass and then followed that up w/ this monster!!!

His best 60 ft has been an amazing 1.37 60 ft and the car is falling on its face up top in 3rd and 4th. He's retuning on the dyno next week AND adding a 100 shot of nitrous so this car could very soon see 150 or 160mph traps and a 8 second run at Imports vs Domestics back at MIR. I'll be there routing him on. He's made amazing progress this year as this entire turbo system was only installed in the Spring, tuning done by him at the track. Bravo Boris!

Currently his car hopped past Mike Radowski of MaxPsi as the 2nd quickest BMW powered 1/4 mile run in US history behind Donovan's amazing 9.2 run last year at MIR in his e30. Donovan needs to get his car back in action soon!!

Great thread man.Even though your stay was cut short, it looks like you had alot of fun.

And I got question OP, do ice packs really help cool the engine quickly?

Thanks for the pics, Matt. Except for the ones of me spinning to half track against Boris.

Some great things happened that day. And some not so great.

Great:

Boris laying it down and shattering his previous best. Impressive.
GT2 running 10.28
The guy heating the tires for his GF and then letting her get in and run an 11.59.
GTR nearly hitting 9's w/o launch control

Not Great:

Track conditions in the street tires lane.
The guy in the V10 R8 really mucking it up. Somebody please give him some pointers. Painful to watch.
Ahmad breaking parts. Love watching him run.

Felt like being one of the dumbasses that thinks it's a good idea to needlessly quote a giagantic post.
