Question 285/35/19 fitment on eibach springs discussion

So I have an e9x m3 with Morr vs8.2 wheels, which are

19x9 et 22 front
19x10 et 20 rear

I currently have pss tires in 255/35 and 275/35 sizes. They feel good, but I really dislike the stretched look on the rear tires. I also run eibach springs.

I know that a lot of people here do not like 285/35/19 size wheels for this car. I am wondering if this is because they think the wheels will rub or if this is just a style preference because the sidewall is a little taller in the rear?

According to this calculator, the wheelwell clearance is only increased by 4mm over a standard +1 sized 275/35/19 tire. The fender clearance is increased by 5mm.

http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp

So why is this setup not liked here?

To me, it seems like a good fit because you are not comprimising shorter sidewall and worse ride comfort (and wheel protection) by going with something like a 285/30/19 and also you will not be running stretched tires like I am now with my 275/35 setup.

I would consider a 295/30/19 setup but I am afraid they will be too wide and rub on the inner edge of the fender.

I'm having 285/35/19 installed on ZCP's rear next week. they are Bridgestone RE-11's. I would have gone 275/35/19 if the tire came in that size though. 255/35/19 in front.

I have 295-30-19 on ZCPs with eibach and it's perfect for my taste , it looks really bad-ass and it grips A LOT !

It does look awesome.

I think the problem for me is my morr wheels have a more aggressive offset and will likely rub going that wide.

I would love to fit 295/30/19s.

What brand tires are those?

The eibach springs don't drop the rear much . I don't know about your offset but on my car , the tires are far from rubbing .

And by the way I have 5mm spacers on the front .

They definitely don't appear that they are too wide for the fenders with 275 pss.

I know the ad08 run a lot wider, so that's where I get a little concerned.

The zcp offset is 5mm less aggressive than the morr.

So Not accounting for the 295 ad08 running wide, the net effect would be an extra 10mm out towards tje fender compared to my current setup.

Anyone run this on eibach springs?
