VW Passat

I know I know... I'm a noob and I'm probably going to get flamed... BUT I want to learn about this:

I saw a late model VW Passat today with some special edition badging, and a 2.0T emblem pick up and go like nobody's business. I was one car back in another lane, and I still noticed the take-off - I have never seen a more boring looking vehicle move that fast. Can anyone help me figure out what it is? I assume the badging may have something to do with the acceleration?

Seems like the perfect sleeper.

With a few bolt ons and upping the boost via tune, you can probably get 250 horses at the wheels out of a VW 2.0T. I'm not an expert, just going off of some quick internet research.

To really get up and go like you are describing there would almost have to be a turbo swap in the mix.

It's actually easy to make those little 2.0T's generate a respectable amount of power with just a tune. Throw a K04 turbo upgrade and tune on it, and they get quite quick. The thing about the 2.0T is they make their peak torque really low in the rpm range, so they go pretty good off the line if they can get traction.

I had a K04 modded GTI for 2 years. I still miss how quick that little thing was. It drove like a pissed off go kart.
