Need help on used purchase

I am looking at purchasing a 08 M3 but I am having second thoughts because the vehicle's warranty is over and the fact that the car has over 70,000 km's. From what I have searched on here, it looks like I am unable to purchase an extended warranty from BMW and this concerns me. Please help with your thoughts and am I wrong to purchase a used M3 with over 70,000 km's?

You can still buy 3rd party warranty. I don't see why not. You will just have to shop around.

The car is 4yrs+ old and that avg out to 18K per year which is typical mileage.

Lastly, if the asking price is reasonable and you take the car to have it checked out extensively.

If the pricing reflects the lack of any warranty then it makes sense.

My car is a 08, nearly 80k and has zero issues.
Get the service records and have it thoroughly checked out by a good independent shop, mechanical and body.

Thanks to all who have responded to my post. I have decided to move ahead with a purchase but will be sure to get a BMW dealer to check the service history. I will also have them perform an inspection on the car as well.

If I were you, I would get a CPO.

Where and which dealer are you buying from if i may ask? I know most dealer will still CPO the car even at that mileage.

Looking at the 2008 AW M3 at North York Chrysler in Toronto. Got the car proof and it shows clean. Anybody know the previous owner (the dealer bought it from BMW Finance as a lease return) or have any comments about buying a vehicle from this dealership? After looking at their website, it looks like they sell many BMW and Mercedes Benz.

The AW one has over 70K Km on it. Just make sure you check everything before you buying it. The warranty is over (or pretty close to be over). Are they offering any kind of warranty? Why don't you buy a CPO?
The internet special price they have is decent though. Any accident on the record? Check the VIN for here here: http://getvin.com/

You should check Auto Trader. There are some really good deals out there on 08 and 09.
