Confusing the cops

So today on my way to work, I was doing about 75 in a 65, which btw didnt seem to fast but yea I was speeding. A motorcycle cop pulls me over and walks up to the car and starts talking about all this bs and I just stopped him and said "look I know I was going over the speed limit so you can gimme the ticket." he had the most bewildered look on his face like what's going on but he said "all right, fair enough."

Gave me the ticket and bounced.... No rants here just thought it was funny.

I'm of the same exact mindset. I've never met a person who didn't exceed the speed limit on a daily basis.

LOL. I hope not! It's so hard to judge because sometimes honesty gets you off tickets but sometimes they pounce on that and think they have an easy ticket to write.

The other issue is if they have proof of your speed or not. Recently I got pulled but I knew they didn't have a gun so I didn't accept fault. They gave up. If I knew they had proof I'd have been nicer lol.

good to see he's not there to waste your time. He could have been a dick about it and wasted more time, but seriously, just write the ticket, check to make sure you have no outstanding warrants for your arrest or decomposing bodies in your trunk and let you proceed with your day.

Once a cop pulled me over when I was driving at 48 at a 35 zone. He asked" do you know how fast you are?" My answer is " I know, but I choose not to tell you" He then give me a warning HAHA.

He was one of the motorcycle cops who constantly looked pissed and you could tell today wasn't the day for a warning so I was just like screw it, worst things could happen.

I often get the bewildered look from cops. I usually get pulled over for window tint and just say, "Yes, I know it is illegal in CA. I will take my ticket and be on my way."

+1 but LE cannot search your trunk without asking (unless they have reasonable cause like someone is crying for help in the trunk!)

Yea, I learned my lesson here. Stopped for going 25 in a zone 15. The cop had no radar detector and he started lecturing me, told him I would challenge the ticket, told me he never lost yet in Court. . . told him "get ready".

Went to Court armed with Statutes about Radar Dectors, blah, blah, blah. Claimed that there was a trainee on the job who DID have a Radar Dector who tagged me going at 25. Judge withheld adjudication, so no points, but still had to pay the fine.

I've learned being arrogant with a cop is not worth it. Several times I have gotten warnings only by keeping my mouth shut and being civil. And if you are arrogant, they will note it and make sure they show up in court which normally greatly reduces your chances of success.
