Nt05

Im curious to see what people are running that will hook. I can get a good deal on some nt05 right now. $450 for a new rear set on 275/30/19. Would it be able to hook (620/435 whp/wtq) on lets say a 40 roll for a half mile drag? I have a 6mt and on a roll around 40 in 2nd gear i blow the tires off currently. I cant floor it in anything lower than 3rd gr. Sometimes shifting from 3-4 itll slip up top with traction control off.

Thanks!

NT05s are not good. If you want a tire to park on, drive casually, drift or slide and generally abuse, they're alright.

The cheapest thing you'll find that "will hook" will be some used DH or similar scrubs, but they won't work until they're warm. If you just want straight line and they're NT05RRRRRs (notice the R) you're on the right track, drag radials will do well for you.

I’m having the same issue. I just ordered the R888r 295/30/19 for my ZCP rears. They are 10” and everyone says it isn’t a great fit. Im just going to roll race with them so we will see how it goes. Pretty sure the 220’s are 9.5” so probably a no go.

They do not. Get new wheels so you can run 295 or 305
