2009 M3 Lease?
So i went to SF BMW, and tried to order the 2009 M3 with premium package, tech package, and DCT. Total came out to $66475 and they wouldnt negotiate on the price. They offered to throw in the IPod USB thing and floor mats.
They wanted me to lease this for 36 months at the rate of .00265. First payment would be almost $8500 and putting in $1000 a month for 36 months. Does this sound like a good deal? Or should i try another tactic? Thanks in advance! |

You should check the NEW and LOW BMWFS Lease Rates on the remaining 08's... You may reconsider getting an 08.

Sounds high... by comparison
Quote:
On a 2009 M3 (E92) with an MSRP of $66,850 (they are offering $1,650 discount on '09s) the lease for 36 months came out to $1140/month with $2400 down (this includes the refundable security deposit). So, it sounds like the SF BMW dealer is way too high. I hope this helps. |

the money factor here is decent, but as someone else already mentioned, you are better of making a purchase at 0.9%. This would be a better deal fro you unless you are using the vehicle for some type of business write off.

I just went through this and decided on a new '08. They are discounting to invoice or slightly over invoice and have killer lease and finanicing rates. With little to no change between the 08's (main change being the Sedan's tailights - which is no big deal to me) the '08 was the easy choice for me. I checked out BMW inventory on the net for both NoCal and SoCal and there are a ton of existing new M3's on dealer lots, so you should be able to get pretty much exactly what you want. I found my exact car (except for the rear PDC) which given the killer deal I was getting I could easily live without!
Good luck but check out the 08's too |

Ended up getting the 08 as it was significantly cheaper! The one they located had all the packages (which i didnt nead CWP and some other stuff), but compared to the fully loaded vs. the one i wanted with specific options, it was only a measly $30-$35 more a month.
I ended up getting the car few thousand under MSRP which doesnt really matter since its a lease. As long as the lease payments looked good and correct, it was a deal. Therefore, i got the car with minimum drive off fee of ~$1600 with monthly's under 1k. Though im sure this wasnt the "best" deal, im still satisfied with the purchase. Now the wait is killing me even though its only been less than 24 hours. Hope they detail it fast so i can pick it up tonight! |

So, im not sure how this is going with the deal right now...
Just called my sales person, and since the car is located in San Jose Stevens Creek and hes from Peter Pan, he told me last night that they will get the car detailed, and all ready for me to get tonight before 7pm. As its 3pm right now, i decided to call, and he informs me that there might be a possibility that i can't even get the car! WTF... I asked why, and he said that Steven Creek has a buyer for the car also, and if they back out, then it will be mine. However, they already charged my credit card for the first deposit for the car. Does this sound normal? Then he quoted me that he can get me a different one that has more options (which i dont even need) for less than $1000 more. |

Do not do the deal... I negotiated $2500 off MSRP for my 09 at BMW Monterey... the valley dealers are not yet facing reality that most of their inventory is semi--permanently parked on their lots. But others get the message and are doing deals.
I went to Monterey because Stevens Creek also didn't seem to be flexible. So forget these clowns and go where they understand reality. p.s. I am going to get even more off when/if I decide to take delivery on the ordered vehicle. |

Why is it so hard to get an M3 in the bay area!
Still dealing with Peter Pan right now, and they located the one i want, and decided to get me the fully loaded one (by them "eating the cost") at the same price i wanted for an M3 with less options. That sounded good to me, but waiting days after days without getting a phone call back, plus when i call, they dont even pick up! That is what happened until saturday, until they finally picked up the phone and they quoted me "the dealership we are working with does not want to trade cars on weekends"....Is this true? Then the conversation went on and said i will be getting the one i want on Monday guaranteed. Monday comes around and i am still M3-less... The word now is that the M3 in SF has a scratch which i dont want, and the other dealership are stating that I called them for an inquiry and they are dealing with the same customer when I didnt even call. Am i just getting a run around here? Anyone with knowledge that can give me some input on what is going on? Or, in general, does this usually happen? |

Nice! I did end up going to Concord BMW and cancelled my Peter Pan deal. What did i end up doing? Signed the papers and was taught all the functions in less than a few hours. Chris was really nice and i would highly recommend him to anyone. Price? I did beat Peter Pan also!
Verdict: Alpine White with cf top, red interior. Feels great to drive the ///M off without any conflicts and everything just went smooth. I just wish 1200 miles hit sooner! Thanks for all the input from everyone that helped me also! |

BMW SF sucks, they quoted me $320 for an oil change claiming it was 'special' for the 335i, East Bay did it for $99
The service is even worse, I met an SA who claimed he could give me a little over invoice (around Mar 07 when I was shopping for my 335i), he gave me his card and I emailed him later and got some BS responses followed by a loss of contact. I live in SF but I make the drive out to another dealer |

Especially in this economy, dealers / salesmen need to go back to the basis of return customers with quality & consistent service.
