2011 M3 or 2012 Z4 35is
Hi Guys,
Hope to get some inputs from you guys, Right now I drive a e93 335i. I am thinking of changing the car. I had a E85 Z4 but I had never driven a M3. If you had the choice would you go for the Z or the M3 ? Thanks |

because most members here think that the s65 engine is made of solid gold and the chassis is the greatest thing since sliced bread, would think you get a pretty heavy M3 bias. although i think that Z4 is fun to look at. a tad feminine. but cute

Rolf Dieter had a Z4 35i. He can probably give you some advice. The reviews on the Z4 have been somewhat negative on its handling. I thought about getting one for a while.

Have you driven an M3 now? If you had am sure you would have realised that there is no choice, its gotta be the M3, I agree with highyo, especially comin out of a convertible 335i. Assuming its a new model (UK e92) you will struggle to get anything better for your money. Alternatively..............buy your girl the Z4 then save up for the real deal. These is no comparison!

I know I will get ripped for posting this on the M3 site, but both cars have different characteristics as far as I am concerned. Also, to get a fully loaded M3 convertible compared to the Z4 35is you will be paying a lot more.
You need to ask yourself what do I want to do with this car... Have fun in the sun with the top down? Track? Street race? Have bragging rights? For my purpose, the Z4 35is fits what I want...a hardtop convertible roadster. It has sufficient power and handling for me. Are there better handling, more powerful cars out there? Absolutely! Tons of them! Each with their own pros and cons. (I would love to be able to afford a 458 but it will never happen for me in this lifetime). Test drive them both and make your own choice. You will never get a better unbiased opinion than your own. |
