The new C63s with the performance package have around 515 to 525 hp based on the quarter mile times posted of 12.1 and trap speeds of 119 to 120. The car is a beast and has a better transmission and interior than it used to, but I still would not take it over my M3, because it is too expensive and under tired.
You really assume 465 hp? I still have the stock intake. What do you recommend? Direct filter with scoop?

Sounds like the C63 AMG with its slushbox automatic probably is faster than the M3 if all you are considering is a straight-line drag race.

However, when put to a track test, the M3 routinely beats the C63. I've read some people say in a C63 when making a fast lane change they can feel the suspension swaying the car back and forth, this is why in a professional track test the C63 is fishtailing out of control while the M3 eats its lunch with perfect balance and chasis structure.

And I submit that real-life daily driving is much more like a "track test" than a "drag race", i.e. making left turns, right turns, slowing then reaccelerating then turning, etc. etc. I think that is why many people prefer the M3 over the C63, it just handles better. However, if you're the front car at a stoplight and want the fastest dragster to the next light, then C63 would be for you.

See my response there...

There are guys on MBWorld who would be close... headers, LT, full exhaust, tune... maybe more. Ask the question there.

They seem to hate me there
I also own the modded m3 that beat the stock c63 coupe. I asked a few questions there and got no replies.

I found this thread there as I was searching google and the keywords were " c63 coupe headers "

I don't think you are hated

Just less traffic and therefore takes longer to get info. Post up some details in your thread on what you are trying to get for power... someone will help.

I'm looking to go full bolt ons. Pulley, intake, headers and tune. That is what to start with I guess.

With 2.0 liters more displacement I would hope the C63 would be faster The only engine that BMW makes that's close to that size is the N74 6.0 V12 As a package, the current M3 is still regarded as "the best balanced" of the two - I'm cool with that. I think most here agree.

I am sure most, if not all, but some of us are wondering if that "well balanced feeling" is worth an arm and a leg in some countries? Please chime in.

I can't speak on the pricing for other countries. Although, I can spec a nicely optioned "new" M3 here in the states for 68K. I would say at $75k in the US - 2012 MB C63 pricing is comparable. For example, to get rid of MB tex you have to pay $2590, and you have to purchase a lighting package to get Xenon headlights I believe I paid a fair price (below MSRP) for a fully loaded M3 with my extremities intact

Just my two cents of course - and those pennies went towards my M3
