Here's the latest for my order. Just saw my order sheet- Being charged $1000 for NON-extended Black Novillo Leather. Leather seats are not listed as NC in ZP2 package and are not even listed at all in the package details. Carbon Leather Trim IS listed in the ZCP2 and NC, not $500 like yesterday. No power seats listed in ZP2 package. So with the new pricing (as of today) on my order- $1000 for leather seats, $400 for Ipod/USB which I don't want but have to order, and $500 increase in ZP2 package. $1900 for what? Power seats? I hope this is all wrong and the ZCP2 package will still include leather seats.

Again I think all this crap is still wrong and they are working on the system. In BMWs literature it states something of this nature. "Premium package 2 will have the same options as the original premium package except add power seats." Thats not the exact wording but its something to that extent. So that means leather is included with premium package 2.

I was quoted without extra for leather if you buy ZP2. Check screenshot. But do notice that Carbon Trim is not included and is $500 extra.

I'd be interested in seeing someone else's sheet for an E92 build. I wouldn't think the cost of leather would be different between the E90 and E92 builds with the Premium 2 package, but who knows.

^^The cost of leather has been the same for both from my understanding.

From the September Production Change bulletin: "An all-new Convenience Package (ZCV) is available that replaces the Technology Package." Instead of hoping and praying, read the bulletin and hire a more competent CA. |

That tells me that this ordering system is messed up right now. Guys, nobody should be ordering any September production M3 until this is ordering system is fixed IMO. Last edited by Technic; 08-06-2010 at 04:42 AM.. |

Your E93 has the leather and power seats standard, so $1350 makes sense for Assist, compass, folding mirrors, Homelink and trim. Still, it should not be called ZP2 as it is in fact the same old ZPP. ZP2 applies only to the Coupe and Sedan as the power seats on those models were removed as standard equipment and not in the E93...

I placed my order so I could lock in my ED date in October. I'm sure my CA will adjust the pricing once the "correct" version is finally released. Let's hope we find out soon.

If past experience is the rule, dealers will not adjust the price down due to ordering system issues or errors. Dealers sold the MY2005 E46 M3 $4000 Competition Package with the $1200 19" forged wheel option together as the ordering system allowed that combo. The problem was that either somebody at the dealer/factory was keeping the ZCP wheels for themselves or the expected price discount for the combined two options was not applied for the missing 19" ZCP wheels.
Eventually this ordering system issue was fixed (no forged 19" could be ordered with the ZCP, as it is right now with the E9x M3), but so far I know of nobody that got any discount, order price adjustment or even the missing E46 M3 ZCP wheels from any dealer or BMW. Regardless, why would a dealer adjust the price down? If their own ordering system is telling them that an option is $5000 today, and you ordered at an agreed price the same day and tomorrow the same exact option is $3000, do you really expect them to even tell you about it? |

Again, this is nothing new. Ordering now when it is more than evident that something is not quite right with the ordering system is a risk. It is up to you to either wait until is fixed or just hope that the dealer will do the "right" thing. Like they do when they have trunk money from BMW and they tell customers about it... |

I think that we are not getting the idea here... if you are willing to pay whatever then you should not have any issue with this current ordering system. If you are a customer -like me- that likes to pay the absolute minimum necessary then you should wait until this is sorted out. |
