I would only go with panasonic if I were doing plasma. They seem to get the best reviews as far as picture as well as reliability.

panasonic is a cool brand too, I've had mine for 6 years and no problems. the only thing i'm worried about on this samsung I want is that a lot of the reviews say there is some sort of "buzz" coming out of the tv when it's on..?

I just went to bestbuy and the plasma 58" tv was not what I expected. Maybe because it was right next to an lcd samsung? Or maybe it was not tuned? LCD LED looked more crisp but the thing that annoyed me was that its so smooth it doesn't look natural
