Thought I'd throw out a great organization primarily out of Autobahn Country Club out in Joliet Il. that I run with over the summer. It's great to run with the same group of guys and get to know each other and learn a thing or two as well. Also, at the end of every day is a spec miata fun run which is open to members. All kinds of cars out there from the 458 to the ariel atom. Most events are on mondays, but there is a Road America weekend that's going to be awesome. Hope to see some of you guys out there.

LAPS is a great organization and Shawn Young (the guy who runs it) is a great guy and a very good driver. LAPS is a fun way to get out on some great tracks around the midwest.

Nice just saw the Laps guys at the Pads Go karting event at CIR. Looks like a fun group of people!

I see the KTM in the photo is a roadster/convert with hoops, What are your rules pertaiing to roadsters and converts? I have a Z4 roadster which has factory hoops and my head sits just below with my helmet on, can I run in these events?

I'll forward your question to Shawn, but think you'll be ok. Love seeing more Bimmers out there as we're usually only second to Porsches in numbers.

You can run in these events. Convertibles are allowed at LAPS events. Hope to see you out there.
