sprint to 75mph

Near Amsterdam there is a traffic light and 4-way crossing just before the highway starts. Immediately after the traffic light the 75mph highway starts. Is this a great place for a quick and save sprint to 75mph, as we do not want to go over the speed limit

I need to shift twice to get to 70-75mph.

What are the 2 best shifting points?

1-2: 8300rpm (max hp)?
2-3: 8300rpm again?

Thanks!

Just by reading, no experience, i heard it was around 7500 for optimal shift. My car is in break-in mode still, but that pic you have in your sig is my exact car. Love it.

If you want to go as fast as possible then you'd want to shift as close to 8300 as possible since the car makes power all the way to the redline.

Basically I can feel the clutch friction/grab point when *engaging* the clutch after shifting to N. And I don't remember this in any of my other manual tranny cars. I just don't recall feeling (and even hearing the vibration) the friction/grab point when engaging the clutch with the shifter in N! Is this normal? I'd hate to go ask the dealer to look at it and waste time and also look like an idiot!
This is exactly what is happening in my car. Whenever I shift to Neutral and *engaging*(releasing the pedal) the clutch, I can feel something weird in the pedal. It feels like a little bump. I can also feel it when I am parked (hand break is on) and the car is in Neutral and I press and release the clutch pedal. On the release, same thing is happening.
Any one else has the same issue or knows if it is normal?
Thanks

I have not noticed anything unusual in this regard, compared to my E46 M3, in 7,700 miles. I do remember at first the pedal seemed much lighter, but you adapt quickly.

Try removing the clutch pedal spring

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169384

The feel of the pedal is so much better after this. It has a much more linear feel and is way easier to control the clutch engagement. Probably what you feel now in the pedal is when the spring changes rate.
