Brake Sensor Issue
My brake sensors are driving me crazy. The brakes and suspension are completely stock except that I have Carbotech 1521 pads. Before I replaced my pads the rear brake sensor wore through. I bought a cheap one on eBay, replaced the pads and I couldn't reset the service interval. I then tried another eBay one - this time and OEM one. That didn't work either. At the recommendation of someone here I bought all 3 new sensors direct from a BMW dealer and that worked and I was able to successfully reset the service interval. Until now - just about 1,000 miles later it triggered again. None of the sensors were even plugged into the pads - just zip-tied up. It was showing me the right-front sensor as bad so I bought another OEM one and that still shows bad. It now also shows the rear one as bad. Am I missing something here? I know how to do the reset and it just won't reset and the "Brake" light is on all the time. All 3 sensors are in perfect condition and the pads are almost new (not that it matters anyway as the sensors aren't in the pads). Is there some magic trick that I don't know about?

Are you seeing dashes for the interval remaining? If so, check out my recent post relating my experience in a thread either here on M3Post or on E90Post. Also, feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.

Remove them and simply monitor your break wear visually.
There's a DIY somewhere that I used and was very helpful.
