typical profile of the M3 driver

I'm sure all sorts of people drive the M3 but I was just curious - what do you think is the most common typical profile of an M3 driver?

It seems like most M3 drivers I've seen are men in their late 30's - early 40's.

Although there is a young lady in my neighborhood about 25 years old who drives one. I'm guessing it was a graduation present from a loaded dad.

But typcial drivers I see are men in their late 30's to early 40's. Has this been your observation as well?

This thread is going to be really interesting. I was really curious about it too. I wish you could add a poll for it with options like: I am a guy 20 - 30 years old, 30 - 40 , ......

Anyways, I am 28, and just got my M3 2 weeks ago

Just curious, your e93 m3 is a gift to you or you are buying it by yourself?

What about the typcial personality of an M3 driver?

I've got to think that simply driving an M3 helps shape the drivers personality.

After I test drove an M3 a few days ago I was smiling for hours afterwards.

I described the car to a friend of mine as a "vacation on wheels".

Seems like you could easily work 60 hours a week but if you are driving this car you will will remain enthusiastic, energized and happy!

I'm 22 and I got my e93 M3 last month

Before that an e89 Z4 35i that is now my moms

and before that an e93 335i.

My mom helped me sign for the 335i as my credit didn't qualify

but fortunately I had no problem getting both the Z4 and the M3 in my name

CISSP here too, funny.

I've owned just about everything but i'm getting rid of my Elise and an old 5 series to get an E90, wanted one since 08 but took a detour obviously.

Guys these threads are so useless. If the point is to gather real demographic info on an m3 driver this is the furthest thing from being able to do so.

1.In general those who make it to these boards tend to be WAY younger than your average m3 driver. So right there you move your age curve way to the left.

2.Those who will be more likely to post WITHIN a thread like this or be on the look out for this type of thread will be by FAR the younger guys because in general younger folks who can afford an m3 like to make that point known and it makes them feel good to tell people about it. I would probably feel the same way-I am 30 however so I missed by boat on being able to do that!

3. the Lurker's who read the boards and older folks are not going to jump out and post their age as there is some embarrasement factor of the mide-life-crisis.

anyway I am 30 and looking at getting an m3. I guess I have to admit this board makes you feel too old if you are above 30 but the reality is its probably less than 10 percent of m3 drivers are under 30. 80 percent are between 30-40 and 20 percent over 40.

Going on with this thread and seeing 90 percent of the thread be a bunch of teenagers or 20 year olds with daddy's coin volunteer they have an m3-how is this a thread with any point?

I am still curiousto see how old most of the users here are.

BTW, 10% + 80% + 20% is more than 100%

I can believe that - if you are in IT then you want something high tech.

Also - in IT in 2011 in IT you are expected to be an ultra high performer - the M3 is the perfect pairing!
