I'm not quite understanding some of the posts here when they read, "...she'll suffer," or "...her life is over," or "...her freedom is lost." Here are the facts: She is hardly going to suffer. What is a DUI in the whole scheme of what the OP has to go through? Nothing! The DUI is going to be nothing more than a slap on the wrist and considering both the video footage and what the OP stated happened, a scumbag like this woman won't abide by any restriction placed on her anyway. What, a license suspension and a fine? Gimme a break. She's not going to prison because of it.
OP, I'm not saying that you should have handled it any differently than you did, but forget about this woman ever getting her Just Deserts from the legal system.

I learned that lots of people drive with suspended licenses as the result of DUI convictions. Losing the license won't stop these shitbags from driving again which is why you should have thrown the book at her. Jail time is the only way.

You did good not to hit her.. you only would've lowered yourself to her level but you should really let her pay for what she did. You can't make it worse for her and you shouldn't... but you SHOULD make her pay for the things she did.

Press charges for assault
Press charges for destruction of property (she kicked your car)
File a civil lawsuit

As if the OP should be thankful he's only got to deal with a smashed in M3 because "at least he's not mixed up with the legal system?" Who cares what she has to go through? You need to make sure you press charges for battery. It is unacceptable that she would do it. You were lucky that she was twice as small but what if it had been an older woman or elderly person?

You need to establish a pattern, if every person lets her off then the state will have no idea that she is as big a nuisance to society as she really is.
