I wouldn't be sure of that. We've had our share of cheesy editions with no apparent performance boost at a premium. It looks like BMW is milking the market by releasing "special edition" cars at every opportunity and in every market they can think of.

I think you misunderstood what I had meant. BMW are definitely marketing whores - so in this sense, I am in agreement with you. In my original post, whom I referred to as those who would consider these cheesy editions "a joke," would be the community of us enthusiasts who clearly see right through said efforts.

I just got my E93 335i M Sport for around 103K USD before tax(22% off), which MSRP is about 133K.
I'm in Shanghai. Count in discount, regular M3 Coupe is about 146K before tax for you to get hands on. |

Guess no one understands that in Asia countries the cars are x2 the cost of the cars here.
Ferrari's and Lambo's go for 3-4 million RMB which is like 645k USD. |

BMW is not the only one. Even Porsche made limited Chinese edition and the only "special"is the body color.
Well, they have the dough to burn and know nothing about what they paid for. I think BMW is generous enough to sell with CF.

to complete the look it needs the CARBON TIP Akrapovic exhaust.
but the sticker and black lines just i guess putting stickers and put all the carbon parts puts an extra 20k (dont quote me on this) to the price.. interior not feeling it as well.... lol
