I would suggest the vette, but not as a winter car. Definitely get the gtr, more than enough room for 2 sets of clubs, lots of power and great track car, good in the snow, automatic so its not a hassle for everyday, and lets not forget how tunable it is.

SC'd M3 gets my vote, hands-down.

Sounds like you should just buy two cars. Why do you need to have a car with 550+ horsepower that can haul golf clubs and also needs to be good in the snow? Of all the cars you picked I guess I would go with a GTR if anything, but even then I wouldn't do that. Do you really wanted to spend a ton of money on a car thats going to get beat on in the winter? If I were you I would buy a nice SUV for hauling stuff and keep the rest for a nice sportscar. No need to be driving a heavily modded M3 in the snow.

Well the older corvette is out. Road was damp and cold today and this guy in an c6 came up next to me. I stand on it, trac control lights up, I go nowhere but in a dead straight line. He stands on it, goes sideways twice and the goes in the ditch.
The c7 will trac mgmt should be better, but there is no way I want a car this dangerous. My 335 is so safe. I drive in the winter and it handles black ice very well. The new m4, used 911 991 c4s, or maybe a gtr. I really want 4 wheel drive I think. I love standing on out of a corner and not getting wheel spin. The gtr is loud though, I'll have to drive one. The used 911 may be out of the price range still. Modding: M4- probably pretty good options in 1 or 2 years( after warranty) 911 991 c4s: expensive to mod, I did some searching and you can't do much to then to get the power up. The akra exhaust is 9k!!!! Wow The gtr has a ton of options to mod and cheaply, the potential there is enormous the trade off is less refinement, noise... For performance though, wow Question: what other 4 wheel drive, DCT, options are out there? I am now done with a manual since I have had one for 40 years and do a lot of traffic driving and business in the car I did look at RS5 and s5 but not too impressed yet Thanks

If I were in your shoes id get a gtr.
But on the comments about the z06 being hairy in the rain is just unfounded or I am an exceptional driver . My first track day with the z06 was in the rain at Laguna seca. And I'm talking pouring, river through front straight, and there was no other car id rather be in in those conditions Either way happy hunting!

If supercharging i wouldnt skimp out on the brakes lol. And i wouldnt mess up the pretty damn good stock suspension with springs just so you can look cool.
But did you pick a car yet? I would go f80 m3. Four doors and plenty of power. |
