LoJack does not automatically notify the police once they detect that the car is moving without the key fob in the car, or within a certain distance (maybe 1 meter, I don't recall exactly). They call the owner to confirm that the car is indeed stolen, and once confirmed, LoJack will file a police report.

Apparantly LoJack is ready to take it to those theives on a moment's notice....

Wow.. That looks way different than the ones I had on my SC 330 in 2004. Looks like they upgraded their equip a bit. On my 330 they installed it behind the glovebox.
