Debating on an M3

Hi guys -

I could use some advice and suggestions. Currently, I'm leasing a 2011 135i (DCT), which runs out next November. Love the car, but want to purchase something next level. I live in NY (about 35 miles north of the city) and put Blizzaks on for the winter and had no issue. Here's my questions. Thoughts on purchasing a new M3 (which i believe the new engine version will be available when my lease runs out) or a Cayman S? This will be my only car and I do track it a few times a year. I know the Cayman isn't as practical due to it's size but i'm a bachelor and 2 seats are plenty. Rarely had anyone in the backseats of the 135i.

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Paul

M3 will likely be a better winter car than the Cayman. You might want to avoid the first year of the new model M3.

Agree on this. I was debating between E92/F80 M3. I decide to get E92 for its awesome V8 engine and known long term reliability.
Plus, many mods are already available for current generation.

If I were in your shoes, I would wait until both the new Cayman and the new M3 come out. It sounds like you don't have your heart set on anything yet, wait until that happens before you buy.

Before I buy a car, I have obsessed over it for months, researched everything and will settle for nothing else.

My cayman S is cougar bait. My gf teased me all the time that these broads kept following me around. =)
