Equipment installs in VA, DC, etc...
Hey all,
Did a search for this and only found a couple of results for clear bras and tint. Does anyone know of any good installers/tuners for aftermarket gear such as exhausts, pulleys, body modifications (lips, etc), tuning software, etc? Seems like it would be a good idea to have a thread for this where people can just click on it to see a list for this stuff. Personally, I am interested in getting an AA pulley, and possibly an Akra exhaust in a few months (maybe a tune to get rid of the CEL if needed). I am in the Richmond area, but for a good, quality install I am willing to drive and I'm sure others are as well! Thanks for any info anyone has! - Mike

It's a little far from you, in Damascus MD, there's a shop that just opened by a really good mechanic and custom fabricator that worked on a few Porsche race motors as well. His name is Bobby 240 328 9186.

What I'd recommend is get all your parts and then make one trip to a good shop and get the work done. You don't want to skimp on quality of work.
I've driven 2 hrs to go to reputable shops in the past. |

Thanks for the info all!
I am still unsure of exactly what I want to have done. I want an exhaust, but not sure which one I want. I also need the money, haha... I am debating on whether I will do it at all simply due to money. A whole bunch of personal reasons, but yea Thanks again for the info, and I will definitely contact that guy if I decide on what I want.

Been down that road man, and after 2 years I still have not found anyone in the Richmond area that I can really trust and/or treat you with any degree of respect, looks like the NoVA area is indeed your best bet to deal with good professional shops but it is a pain in the to go up and down 95 to get stuff installed, and if something goes wrong even more so. If I had more time to do stuff maybe it wouldn't be so bad and would actually be fun to go on a roadtrip with the M, but I personally just don't have the time during the week....
I have the name of a shop here in Richmond that is somewhat decent, the owner is an ass but he is the best I have found so far which is not saying much frankly. PM me if you are interested in the details. |
