M3 Vert pricing

Just released from the NY auto show...............65k...........OUCH!

For a "base" model!

I guess if you want to tan AND want to do it while going to 60mph in less than 4.7 seconds you gotta PAY..........

So with options and taxes will reach the 80K. Will be interesting to see if the posers will pay all that money.

I can't justify it.......... My M3 would come out to 85k out the door if I went for it.

Price was predictable.

4.7 seconds? Not a great chance of that happening in an E93 M3. I guess maybe the mag drivers that got 4.1s in the coupe or sedan might be able to hit it. Euro press releases had the *M-DCT E93 M3* at 5.2s to 100km/h.

Prevailing opinion is that only posers drive verts. Its wrong of course but what can ya do? I used to kinda take it personally, but I'm over that, and plus I got tired of arguing it long ago. To be fair, in certain geographical areas I'm sure its largely true, like any stereotype. I for one drive the piss out of my car though, and I thoroughly enjoy the top down experience to boot.

The last convertible M3 (e46) was around 10k more. So this is exactly as expected.

I dunno, I see lots of woman and teenage kids driving E46 Verts where I live. One kid I went to school with was given a choice for a graduation present, black E46 M3 Vert or Silver M3 Coupe, the pussy chose the convertible. Its cooler" he says, mine is way cooler than yours Ian!!!

Right, and I see lots of women, kids, and "posers" driving all kinds of BMW's including M3 coupes. As I said, the stereotype does hold in some cases, but not everyone driving a convertible is a poser. And conversely not everyone driving a coupe is a true driving enthusiast.
