Well that makes sense. I was having a hard time figuring out how this guy was doing over 200mph without a supercharger.

I learned this when I thought I hit 170MPH stock (which obviosly confused me being VMAX is 150 or 160... Coded off correction and I was at 155mph.

Obviously the difference in real speed vs displayed speed exponentially gets less accurate the faster you go. 334kmh is well over 200MPH.

I have intake, catless straightpipe exhaust, BPM stageII tune, no VMAX(governor), 8600rpm redline and speed correction coded off, and I topped her out on a virtually unlimited straight empty road...I used GPS just to be sure, and our cars w/ bolt ons are good for about 170mph-175mph (275km/h) At those speeds if your didnt code that feature off it would probably display about 330+...realistically....

If you have a new powerful smartphone with a good GPS/ RFID technology, download track addict or one of the many dash cam apps that display and record true speed. Even at 200kmh look at your gps speed compared to your dash.

DKM3 is right. Compared to my vBox, the speedometer is very optimistic. With oversized 255F and 275R tires my speedometer is about 3-4% faster.

Don`t be too optimistic The speedometer goes on a lot, not only 15 km/h
When the car runs in reality ~307 km/h, with the higher rev-limiter, thats a lot.
To drive more than "real" 315 km/h , you already need a little more horsepower than software, straight pipes and other pulleys

But of course you are right: it is very fast and you must be very focused to go there

Now that`s also really fast:

Thanks

I had switched the DSC back on myself because it was needed to be on at that speed lol.

I was actually waiting for someone to come up with this reply.

I had already done my homework. I have Samsung Note 4, Bluetooth OBDll Reader, and Torque App that reads directly from the ECU.

At 148 kph, the actual "GPS" speed is 138. That's a difference of 7.24%

Now if you take 334 and subtract 7.24% you'll end up with 311 kph which is about 194 mph.

Once again, don't forget that I had topped my 6th gear and ran out of RPM. That by itself is an achievement.

Read the previous post

The difference between "Corrected" speed and "GPS" speed is 7.24% in my case. This run made 193 mph (311 kph).

Don't underestimate those S65 engines. At the right conditions with the right mods, you should easily hit 190 mph.

And btw, I'm running 265/30/19 R - 235/35/19 F

Hey DKM,

275km/h is certainly fast enought but I'm surprised to hear your (tuned) car "only" do this. I haven't tried mine out (lost license already with previous 550i..) but mine is opted with M Driver pack which sets the limit up to 280km/h. Sounds a bit cheaky if it doesn't even come up there?

Coded mine digi meter and double checked with GPS. At speeds up to 100km/h it shows 4km/h off while 5 maybe 6 above 150km/h. Haven't bothered to measure in higher speeds but realize the analog meter is nonlinear. Still 55-60km/h seems steep?

Cheers

Agreed, shouldnt have of said 175mph...Only said that bc, from his first post he is still catted, light tune. When I had his mods, 170+ was a VERY SLOW move...

I certainly could've gotten to at least 180-190mph. But My car hits 170mph pretty fast, than 170-190 I would need more room than I have around here. Ill shoot you a vid of me hitting 170mph (GPS tracked) and then letting off bc traffic far ahead. It was still accelerating rapidly.

Check your PM's in a min.
