Oh, what the hell... might as well put my $0.02 in.

Drive both, get the one you like better. For me it was the DCT, made the switch from MT the first chance I had.

my brother has mt and im in the process of buying a DCT. the mt is sooooo fun! but i personally think DCT is a better match for this engine. It gets stressful making a shift at 8500rpm lol

The post above is a great point. Last night I was thinking, why do I love this car so much, what separates it? I realized it's the DCT. This engine needs to be shifted...a lot...to maximize it. The gears are very closely spaced to and it doesn't wake up until it's above 4K rpm. I'm sure having 6 speeds in the MT helps a little bit, but to me this DCT is the perfect match for this engine.

DCT all the way, and my opinion is the only one that counts, it's true, and if you don't believe it just ask me, I will confirm this.

You really need to decide this yourself, there is no right answer...kind of like choosing the color of the car.

I remember saying that back in the day when I got my E46 smg M3.
