Who runs their car in the winter?

I for one, do not

(I save the $ that it would cost to run it during the winter to save for more mods!)

I do! The cost to get a second car, and put insurance on it is simply not worth having a second car when this one is fully capable in the winter. Insurance is becoming almost too expensive in Toronto. Set of 18" + winters simply could not out cost insurance and a second car. Now if I had a GT3, that'd be a different story

I do too! Mild winters in the Vancouver area allow definitely allow me run the car year-round. Although a winter tire setup is definitely still necessary!

I have driven my car in the past winters without any issue, especially here in Toronto where roads are fine most days. This year the car will sitting in the garage however as I recently picked up an SUV for a daily.

the M3 NEVER gets taken fishing, To get to the those rivers you have to drive on crappy old logging roads, gravel, wash board and gaint pot holes and wet dog....

That is what the trusty Titan is for and it would be a quite a site for M3 to pull the 25 foot trailer

Of course not what was I thinking ...

I only fished three times in my life the best experience was in the Northwest Territories, about an hour flight west of Yellowknife in a piper 2 o2 I went fishing with 2 of my friends (we where there on a small project). I coot 3 deep lake trout that day it was magical, the sun was out as was the moon and we had ice crystals on the lake it was mid June as I recall. The fish was delicious once it came off the barbecue filleted onions and bacon inside wrapped in foil paper oh man it was finger licking good

This will be my first winter with the M3 and I have chosen to put her to sleep in the coming months. I picked up a 328xit for my DD and is GF/dog friendly.

It saddens me to think about not driving my M for several months but I just don't want to put the extra winter KM's on it. I'm not sure if I should/could reduce my insurance to bare bones while in storage???

Topic change:
Oh, I just ordered a Akra EVO..... I'll write a review after receiving/installing.

I know in BC that I can get fairly cheap storage insurance for the months that she's sleeping. I only plate it during the months that I drive her.

Was out at lake Louise today, there was about three inches of snow on the ground... And the mountains were nice and white... Just about time for the winters.

Great pictures, the third one reminded me when I was there the very first time in 1979 my daughter was 3 years old, she posed in front of the rock I've got that picture enlarged and framed ... nice shot, thanks for sharing.

Lake Louis is definitely a nice place to stay at. There was some snow even at the end of August last year we went.

I always stopped there for lunch on my business thrips (Vancouver - Calgary - Edmonton or the other way other times Edmonton Vancouver via Jasper, great spots of our country) found memories
