This sounds cool, but 7am in Malibu is really early for me. If enough ///M’ers want to go I would be down, but not my preference.

Early bird gets the worm! it is brutally early, but a) they're the 2 best regular car meets in LA, b) it's beautiful out there that early, and c) anytime other than that early most canyon roads are full of slow drivers/cops.

As a bonus you can also meet at Trancas/Malibu, hit the canyons, then finish at Supercar Sundays in Topanga. All done by 10am.

I want to say I'd be down for Malibu, however, 3 out of 3 times I've driven "drivers" roads in malibu, I ALWAYS get pulled over for no front plate. Thankfully never been ticketed, but still a process I don't like to deal with.

Anyone else have similar results in Malibu? I've driven 130K miles with no front plate, yet only been pulled over in malibu for it. Maybe I'm not going early enough.

The Trancas C&C has become more exclusive recently due to popularity; they've sent out emails to their subscribers requesting only rare classics and supercars in the lot, no more lowly BMWs, MBs, or 911s..

Let me put a map together and see what you all think. How would 12/17 work for everyone? The next few weekends after that will be the holidays and recovery... lol

I didn't even know there was an official email - can you point me in the right direction to get on that?

I normally just park in the 3rd carpark, across the road, through the gates, plenty of space and run into a few other e9X M3 owners in there before.

How about this route, let’s call it the drunken bow tie... lol This takes us through most of the good parts without too much FWY or overlapping. We will be starting at 9:30 am Sunday 12/10 (getting on the road by 10am) at another Starbucks and ending at a brewery!

Looks legit if it's 12/10 I'll join for sure! I guess I'll just have to wait and see what the rest of the party votes for

I previously committed to a different drive w/ a group from work the 10th already and I'd feel bad bailing on them. BUT they are going early and I just noticed you moved the start time to 9:30-10, so I should be able to catch you somewhere along the way (work drive ends at Neptunes Net in Malibu, at PCH and Yerba Buena so right along the route you mapped).
so YES, 12/10 is good!

Nice choice ending at Ladyface too

Hopefully all these crazy fires are contained by the time Sunday comes around and another one doesn't happen to ruin the canyon run! But until then let's take this post to the top!
