Saw in the local classifieds a set of bbs LM-Rs 19s for sale. I believe their 20 something pounds. Anyone know if this is lighter then the stock 19s?

You will feel the difference in wheels at about a 3 lb weight difference. The car will feel quicker on turn in, and will ride better over bumps. You will accelerate and stop faster as well, although at a 3 lb difference, the change will be tough to detect. Basically, you can run a stiffer suspension and preserve a given ride quality by lightening your wheel/tire combo.

Equally as important is the weight distribution. More weight at the hub is not as big a deal as more weight at the periphery. Consequently, tire weight is ultimately more important than wheel weight in terms of overall dynamics.

Going to a 18" wheel from a 19" is a better bang for your buck. You will notice a performance difference between two wheels of equal weight but different diameter.

I didnt know that. If the wheels are equal in weigh, how is a 18 better then 19?
