Yep - the rear has actually settled a little bit, and is now slightly lower, without me having to do anything.

The kidneys/side grilles have been replaced, all right - not with matte black ones, but with the Shadow Chrome ones from the "Edition" M3s.

Update pics to follow

Thanks for the comments, all.

Cool...looking forward to them!

I don't know if it was mentioned, but the Azurite almost looks to me like if you looked at Carbon Black E46 M3 under florescent lighting at night, but all the time...best way I can describe what I see since having Carbon Black & now Jerez Black.

Congrats on the ride, it looks fantastic in that colour!

Can you take some pics of the inside, catching the black leather also, and a bit of the Azurite? Just to see how they both go?

I would be happy to - might take a little while, though. My car is up on the lift in the garage, awaiting my exhaust (Fedex SUCKS...... ), and a couple other things that preclude me starting the car up, and bringing it out into the sun.

As soon as I can, I'll get pics up.

Thanks for your pics. I think Azurite Black is the most awesome BMW Individual color.

Haha.

NORMALLY, this would not be a problem.

Small matter of the car sitting in the garage, immobile, though.....

This might have something to do with the fact that it has no DME at present.... hehehehehe.....

(Thanks Nate!)

You car looks beautiful Allan!!!!

How does the new Akrapovic Evolution fit and sound????

I think you need to break down and get some Azurite Black Brembos to complete the car...... it would be an awesome final touch!!!!

Thanks, Jamie!

The Akrapovic is UNBELIEVABLE. All the stories you read/hear about - how the Akra is so well made, sounds incredible, blah, blah, blah.

BELIEVABLE.

The workmanship is phenomenal. I don't know dick about welding, but I can recognize the fact that these welds are fantastic. Fit is perfect.

The sound? LOVE IT. Definitely more of a rasp than my old Eisenmann - hard to characterize it, but not as deep - more race-car-ish, for lack of better terminology. I love the sounds of both the Eisenmann and the Akra, but I am VERY happy with the Akrapovic. There is a little drone at about 2800/3000 rpm, but it is about the same as the OEM exhaust. When you really get on it, though, the sound is just KILLER.

I had a Corvette pull up to me, ask me to roll my window down, and told me it's the first BMW he's heard that he has liked. Don't know if that's a true compliment or not - I took it as one, LOL.

See ya this summer, Jamie!
